Who are they kidding?

This is nothing more than a slick marketing campaign, couched as citizen concern.

Cigotine Holds Cigarette Butt Cleanup at Occupy Wall Street

NEW YORK, Nov. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Cigotine LLC, a leading provider of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), is about to make things a little nicer for the demonstrators at Occupy Wall Street. On November 9, 2011, Cigotine representatives conducted a volunteer cigarette butt cleanup, while also distributing free disposable e-cigarettes to protest participants who smoke.

Throughout the day, volunteers of the “Cigotine Clean-Up Crew” walked through Zuccotti Park where the demonstration is held, picking up cigarette butts and speaking with the protesters.

Since this is National Smoke Out Week, smokers are getting lied to once again. Their favorite ploy is the guilt factor. Check out this article:

The Great American Smokeout This Month

In Calaveras County, the adult smoking rate of 18% remains significantly higher than the California rate of 11%.

Then we have this article that claims:

UPDATE 2-U.S. judge blocks graphic cigarette warnings

WASHINGTON, Nov 7 (Reuters) – A federal judge blocked a U.S. rule requiring tobacco companies to display graphic images on cigarette packs, such as a man exhaling cigarette smoke through a hole in his throat. …

About 21 percent of U.S. adults smoke cigarettes, a number little changed since 2004.

I just don’t believe these numbers and I’ll tell you why. Smokers have gone underground because of all the flack they get for it. I’ve known closet smokers to hide behind dumpsters to steal a drag off their cigarette on a lunch break, away from prying eyes.

I know one self-proclaimed ex-smoker that hides in her elaborate garden to hide her socially intolerable habit.

In recent years, many cities have passed laws again residents smoking in the community park, they have banned smoking on beaches all the while complaining about the litter problem. If anyone in our government was serious about cleaning up cigarette filters, they would simply change the current law. Instead of banning smoking everywhere, banishing them to the great outdoors, give them a break.

Do you remember how we got rid of the problem of cans and bottles littering our streets and beaches? We implemented the deposit law. You simply offer a recyle fee, commission a machine that can count or weigh them. The redemption fee would be given back to smokers who could use some tax relief. If the smokers themselves decide not to redeem them, bums and street urchins certainly will.

Problem solved. Don’t believe everything you read this month. Most of the figures you will read have been pulled out of thin air. If you search, the real data is out there. It just might surprise you.

Concealed Carry Ad

Spoken like a true American. Concealed handgun license instructor Crockett Keller is getting plenty of flack over his recent radio ad promoting his CHL course offered in Mason, Texas.

In his video campaign Keller has this to say…

“If you are a socialist liberal and or voted for the current campaigner in chief, please do not take this class. You have already proven that you cannot make a knowledgeable and prudent decision as under the law.  If you are a non-Christian Arab or Muslim, I will not teach you the class with no shame; I am Crockett Keller, thank you and God bless America.”

History of the Democratic Party

This video should be shared far and wide. Education, not indoctrination, is the only hope for standing up for your own belief system. If you support the Democratic party based on their talking points, you’re sadly out of touch with reality. The history of the Democratic party is vile and despicable, and their constant cries of “racism” are perfectly hypocritical. Watch the video, and tell me what you think.

Oh, and if you are observant during the video, you’ll quickly find that the “polar conversion” (which they describe as “when the Democrats and Republicans switched political ideologies”) your high school and college teachers describe to defend the broad racist policies of the Democratic party never actually happened. This fantasy is actually most closely aligned with the New Deal policies of FDR following the Great Depression. And yet, if you spend any time studying that, you’ll find that it’s not so much an effort to eliminate the racist roots, but a means of buying the votes and praise by a welfare state, throwing independence and personal responsibility out the window.
